Winter Grading Success

Yet Another Grading Success for Famous Spennymoor Club.

Six members from the North East’s only Kyokushin karate club took their club level gradings recently. They were tested for two hours on technique, stamina and ability by Chief Instructor Adam Walker, 3rd Dan and Instructor Connor College, 1st Dan. Standards in our club are extremely high and we expect nothing but the best from our students

From the adult’s class, Marcus Brabban and Mark Tregoning both achieved their orange bets and Bradley Clark gained his yellow belt. From the junior class, Sam Walker gained his white belt black stripe and Shayne Todd achieved his orange belt. Hannah Walker was promoted from orange belt black stripe to blue belt. “Standards in our club are extremely high and we expect nothing but the best from our students. Promotional gradings are not easy and can only be taken when our students are properly prepared. To do otherwise and allow people to grade if they have not met the required standard, would be wrong at every level. Moving through the ranks in Kyokushin karate is hard and it can only be achieved by people who are fully dedicated and who are prepared to knuckle down and work hard. I am pleased by the results of this grading as they go to show that training regularly and hard really does pay off.” Adam Walker, Chief Instructor.

The next grading will take place at the annual Kyokushin National Winter Camp in Scotland in February next year.
