The Chikara Dojo of Kyokushin Karate is going to be putting on a FREE course over the 6 weeks holidays. This is for non-members from the ages of 10 to 16.
What is the Free Course?
The idea of the course is to give the kids something to do and achieve over the holidays and also give them a taste of Kyokushin Karate.
Over the period of 6 weeks, the kids will learn the basics of Karate, from Kata to pad work, right through to sparring and Dojo etiquette.
By coming regularly to the free allocated sessions, they will also increase their fitness .which will be monitored throughout the 6-week course. They will have the opportunity to meet new friends and build good relationships with the members of the club.
Once the course is completed there will, of course, be an option to join our Kyokushin Family and maybe even a little freebie!
When is the free course?
Ok, then folks. So our free course, designed for those 10 and 16 years old (new members only), will start on Monday 23rd July and will be run by both male and female instructors. The class times are;
Monday 6-7pm,
Wednesday 6-7pm
Friday 5-6pm.
The course is designed as a taster to give the children an idea of what Kyokushin is really like. Kyokushin’s main focus is on building confidence, self-esteem, making new friends, learning discipline and, above all, having fun!! Knowing how to defend yourself is crucial and we want to help people because knowledge is power!!

What does my child need to bring?
Your child will need;
A bottle of water
A bobble for long hair
Something easy to train in. Joggers, or leggings and a t-shirt are preferable.
The boring stuff for the adults will be a consent form and a medical form.
We will post regular updates and progress reports will be given to parents as well. The course will run for 6 weeks totaling 18 lessons and a special tag will be given to those who attend a minimum of 80% of the lessons. This is a fantastic opportunity and best of all is completely FREE!!
